First fully themed Pixar hotel in U.S. to open at Disneyland Resort later this year

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is currently transforming into the Pixar Place Hotel, the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States, Disneyland officials announced Thursday.The hotel, located at the Disneyland Resort, is expected to open this winter. Officials shared new details about the amenities, hotel-exclusive water play area and restaurant coming to the re-imagined hotel. An unidentified man was shot to death on a sidewalk in Garden Grove early Thursday morning.The man, believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, was found when Garden Grove Police Officers responded to reports of a person lying on a sidewalk in the 12300 block of Trask Avenue at about 3:45 a.m., police said in a news release. Southern California's commuter rail service is offering a scorching deal to get travelers on the trains this summer.Metrolink, which offers train service between Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, is bringing back its popular $15 Summer Day Pass.
