SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The body of radio host Jeffrey "JV" Vandergrift was found floating in the San Francisco Bay by Pier 39 on Wednesday, according to the Chief Medical Examiner. He was 55. The discovery marked a tragic end to a one-month-long search for the beloved longtime radio host. Vandergrift was reported missing to the San Francisco Police Department on February 23. Suspect shot, killed during standoff with San Jose police Police found his body just before 5 p.m. Wednesday and said there was no evidence of foul play. But a burglary at the Granada Little League fields set the team in Livermore off to a rocky start.On Wednesday, March 15, Livermore police officers responded to a burglary at the field on Murdell Lane where league organizers reported about $3,500 worth of stolen gear from the umpire storage shed. (KRON) -- Pliny the Younger will be available on tap and in bottles starting on Friday March 24, according to a post on the Russian River Brewing Company website. Pliny the Younger will be available at the brewery's Santa Rosa and Windsor pubs from March 24 through April 6, 2023, the brewery said.This will mark the second year in a row the brewery has released the coveted IPA on a spring date. In 2022, Russian River Brewing was forced to postpone the beer's usual February release due to a lack of staffing stemming from COVID. PARK COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Austin Lyle, the 17-year-old accused of shooting two administrators at Denver East High School on Wednesday, was found dead in Park County.The shooting happened around 10 a.m. during a daily search of Lyle as part of his safety plan with the district. The administrator searching him found a gun, and in response, Lyle allegedly shot two people, Jerald Mason and Eric Sinclair. Denver Public School leaders address safety concerns, school resource officers Lyle then left the school in a red Volvo and police spent several hours looking for him, eventually locating his car near Bailey late in the afternoon.Residents of the area where the car was found were told to shelter in place, and several hours later Lyle's body was found in a wooded area nearby.Lyle was a recent transfer to Denver East after being expelled from Overland High School in the Cherry Creek School District. PARKER, Colo. (KDVR) — A Colorado photographer who was accused of withholding tens of thousands of dollars in payments and leaving newlyweds without photos of their big day has been charged. Suzanne Nevill of Suzanne Nevill Photography was charged with theft by the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office on Wednesday. This charge follows a lengthy investigation stemming from complaints made in 2021.Nevill was accused of booking weddings and then last minute, backing out with dramatic excuses as to why. Fellow photographers and associates would step up and help Nevill but then never receive their payments.
