Car goes airborne, crashing into Lemay home, killing driver LEMAY, Mo. - One person is dead following a crash Tuesday afternoon on Kingston Drive in Lemay.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene as their car flew through the air and crashed into a home where a family was. The family was uninjured in the accident.The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. Residents in the area said the car may have been going close to 100 mph before it went airborne, traveling a couple hundred feet before crashing into two homes."It literally flew like a rocket," said Amanda Garavaglia, a Lemay resident. LOUIS - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the early Tuesday morning shooting death of Iyez Ahmed. The 22-year-old clerk was shot and killed while working at a gas station located near the corner of Berthold and Hampton Avenues. “He was a good kid,” said Michael Wightman, a regular customer. “He would help anyone.” Regular customers said Ahmed worked at the station for several years. They recall him always being friendly and professional. Police reported a person of interest had escaped police custody Tuesday. Jataveion Scott, 19, was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans with a tear on the right, and no shoes. Thieves hit 7 Orange County businesses in one night Surveillance video shows thieves rummage through one of seven Irvine businesses that were broken into early this week, leaving owners and employees to clean up the mess.  Shattered front doors, glass strewn across the pavement is what workers found when they showed up to work Monday morning at the Sand Canyon Plaza Shopping Center near the corner of Sand Canyon Avenue and Irvine Center Drive.  A total of seven businesses had their front doors or windows smashed in by burglars who quickly ransacked each establishment, looking for things to steal. Surveillance footage from the Domino's Pizza shows the thieves barely spending any time in the store.  “I want to say like a good 30 seconds,” Domino’s employee Adonis Manrique said of how long the burglars were in the restaurant. “It was really fast, just came in and out because they couldn’t find anything.
