AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Right now, Dori Roberts' phone is his lifeline as he clings to any new word of the whereabouts of his family members in Israel."You're hopeless, you're helpless there's nothing you can do, there's not a button you can push," he said. His aunts and cousins leave near the Gaza strip. They're the ones he's barely heard from since Hamas militants launched a surprise attack Saturday. TYLER, Texas (KETK) - An Amber Alert has been issued by the Tyler Police Department for two Tyler girls.The girls are identified as 7-year-old Audrey Lee and 9-year-old Ella Lee. Police said at approximately 6 p.m. the girls' father, Chase Lee, took them from their home located on the 8400 block of Cambridge after reportedly committing an aggravated assault on their mother.Audrey Lee. A former Broomfield resident was sentenced to three months in prison and three years of probation for destruction of government property after he entered the U.S. Capitol building during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot in Washington, D.C. and helped break down an office door.Isaiah Farnsworth, 44, was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Sept. 8 after pleading guilty earlier this year, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.Farnsworth, who now lives in McDonald, Tennessee, traveled from Broomfield to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021 to protest the 2020 Electoral College vote, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.Former Broomfield resident Isaiah Farnsworth was sentenced to three months in prison for the destruction of government property during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Anti-Semitic flyers were discovered in an Orange County community as the deadly attack by Hamas militants on Israel continues overseas.Residents in the city of Orange discovered the anti-Semitic flyers dispersed across their neighborhood and vehicles on Tuesday morning.Some of the flyers could still be seen on cars parked near Harwood Street and Chapman Avenue.“It's very disturbing,” said Kari Ratkevich, an Orange resident. “Someone is placing propaganda like this on our cars. The Federal Railroad Administration has awarded millions to L.A. Metro to help cover the costs of a grade separation project at one of the most dangerous crossings in Los Angeles County.The $38.3 million grant will be put toward Metro's plans to construct a grade separation at Doran Street and San Fernando Road in Glendale.That railroad crossing has one of the highest numbers of safety-related incidents in Los Angeles County, including dozens of incidents involving vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles, according to the State of California.A grade separation is a roadway that is “re-aligned over or under a railway to eliminate hazards," according to the California High-Speed Rail Authority. As many as 90 trains per day use the tracks in the area and that number is expected to rise significantly in the coming years. (KRON) -- A deadly collision unfolded in Hayward Monday night and children were among the victims injured, police said. A pickup truck and sedan crashed at 8:53 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Industrial Boulevard and Hesperian Boulevard.Police said the pickup truck was driven by a 46-year-old Modesto man. The Hayward Police Department stated, "The man was cooperative and did not sustain injuries related to the collision."A family was inside the sedan, including a 39-year-old Hayward woman who suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.Two girls, ages 3 and 9, were riding in the sedan's backseat. The girls suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, investigators said. The sedan was driven by a 36-year-old Hayward man, according to police. The Hayward Police Department did not immediately release the crash victims' names. Investigators did not say what caused the crash, nor which driver may have been at fault.
