LAKE FOREST - One of the things that fans enjoy from year-to-year is to see what numbers their favorite players will be assigned for the upcoming season.That includes the rookies, who are joining the Bears for the very first time. Ahead of the team's mini-camp this weekend, the team assigned the first year players the numbers they'll wear to start out their NFL careers. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs is expected to plead guilty in a deadly DUI crash case, according to his attorneys.Ruggs, 23, is accused of driving 156 mph under the influence and crashing into a car killing 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog in Nov. 2021. Prosecutors said Ruggs' blood alcohol level was 0.16 which is twice the legal limit in Nevada.Ruggs' attorneys, who appeared in court Tuesday morning, waived his right to a preliminary hearing which was set to take place on Thursday. They told the court the former Raiders player will enter a plea to lesser charges during a court hearing on Wednesday, May 10, and will plead guilty to one count of felony DUI causing death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Clouds returned overnight along with warmer morning temperatures and humidity. Most lows were in the low to mid 60s Tuesday morning. Camp Mabry was an exception with a low of 68°.Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 80s. ST. LOUIS – The man accused of a broad daylight execution-style killing in downtown St. Louis pleaded not guilty in St. Louis Circuit Court on Tuesday.DeShawn Thomas, 23, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of David Saldana.The shooting happened around 10 a.m. on Feb. 27 along Tucker Boulevard, in front of the former Globe-Democrat newspaper building.The incident was captured on surveillance cameras and cellphone video, and shared millions of times across social media. 6 deaths in Illinois dust storm, police need help identifying 2 victims According to court documents, Thomas and Saldana got into an altercation at the Shell station at Tucker and Convention Plaza. Police claim Thomas first shot Saldana in the back as he ran across Tucker and, as Saldana begged for his life, Thomas shot him in the head. HAZELWOOD, Mo. - A Hazelwood man is in custody on allegations of child abuse after police found a 6-year-old in his care had been burned.According to Lt. James Taschner, a spokesman for the Hazelwood Police Department, police were contacted just after midnight on Tuesday and asked to conduct a welfare check in the 100 block of Grether Avenue.Officers discovered a 6-year-old at the residence had suffered burns to her back and arm, which occurred several days prior. 6 deaths in Illinois dust storm, police need help identifying 2 victims Taschner said the child was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries and placed into protective custody.Jheri Clark, the child's father, was arrested. Police claim Clark admitted to causing the burns to his daughter.The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Clark with first-degree child abuse.
