State police investigating fatal Johnstown crash

JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash out of Johnstown that happened Wednesday. Police say Salvatore Attigliato, 29, of Gloversville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Police say the crash took place around 6:48 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of County Highway 122 and State Route 29A in Johnstown. Police say a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on State Route 29A when a car turned onto State Route 29A westbound from County Highway 122, striking the driver. Attigliato was identified as the motorcycle driver and was pronounced dead at the scene.The investigation into this crash is ongoing.

Body found in north St. Louis County neighborhood street

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. -- A man was killed near the intersection of Winkler Drive and Kappel Drive Thursday morning. Police were called to the location at around 7:30 a.m. after an alert from a ShotSpotter device. They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene. RTD set to suspend A Line between Denver Airport, Peoria stations Oct. 5 for maintenance

The A Line commuter rail is scheduled to be partially closed next Thursday, Oct. 5 while the rail line undergoes maintenance.Train service between Denver Airport Station and Peoria Station will be suspended during the maintenance, RTD officials said in a news release.Customers using the A Line will be able to use shuttle buses during the closure, and the A Line is set to resume normal operations the next day, Oct. 6.Buses will board at the airport at Gate 7, located at the DEN Transit Center adjacent to the Westin hotel.At 61st – Peña Station, shuttles will board in front of the station; 40th Avenue & Airport Boulevard – Gateway Park Station buses will board at Gate A; and Peoria Station buses will board at Gate E.A Line service will continue as normal between Union Station and Peoria Station.Customers should expect delays due to the closure.Related ArticlesTransportation | RTD’s A Line to be suspended between DIA and 61st and Peña stations for two h...

Woman hit by car in Aurora dies Wednesday night

A woman crossing Chambers Road in Aurora Wednesday night died after a driver hit her with a car.The crash happened near Chambers Road and Pheasant Run Parkway, Aurora police reported at 11:17 p.m. on X.#APDAlert Officers are responding to a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on S. Chemical leak at CSU Dominguez Hills hospitalizes workers

Some type of chemical leak at Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson sent two school workers to the hospital Thursday morning. Emergency crews were sent to the campus located at 1000 E. Victoria St. around 1:30 a.m., a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson confirmed. A hazmat crew was called to CSU Dominguez Hills on Sept. 28, 2023. (KTLA)School security personnel as well as a cleaning official opened the door to the chemistry lab on the third floor and felt ill after inhaling a substance, the spokesperson said. Parking pain hits some Los Angeles neighborhoods harder than others

A new study has found that parking tickets are significantly down in Los Angeles, though some neighborhoods remain popular for parking enforcement.The nonprofit media outlet Crosstown LA analyzed Los Angeles Department of Transportation data and found that from January to August 2023, about 1.17 million parking tickets were issued, "a 17% drop from the approximately 1.4 million citations written in the same period last year."The city is on track to issue about 1.75 million tickets in 2023, down from about 2 million last year. Though fewer tickets are being issued, some neighborhoods remain targets of parking enforcement.Downtown Los Angeles and Westlake took the top two spots.
