One Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 88 [San Joaquin County, CA] Traffic Accident near Alpine Road Involving Truck Hauling Live Cattle Resulted in FatalitySAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (May 18, 2023) – Late Tuesday morning, one person was killed in a semi-truck crash on Highway 88 near Stockton.The fatal incident happened around 11:45 a.m. along Highway 88 near Alpine Road.According to CHP, a westbound semi-truck hauling 68 live cattle and a northbound gray Toyota SUV both approached the intersection.Investigators said the big rig approached a yellow light while the traffic light just turned green for the Toyota. Reports claimed that both vehicles continued at the intersection when the truck and trailer overturned and pinned the SUV underneath.At around 1:40 p.m., the responding emergency personnel managed to extricate the female SUV driver’s body from the vehicle.Unfortunately,  the SUV driver sustained significant injuries and died at the scene. Adonay Munoz Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Las Vegas Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV] Rider Died Following Vehicle vs. Motorcycle Collision near East Warm Springs RoadLAS VEGAS, NV (May 18, 2023) – Wednesday evening, a motorcycle crash on Las Vegas Boulevard claimed the life of Adonay Munoz.The fatal collision took place on May 3rd, around 9:27 p.m., near East Warm Springs Road.According to reports, a Ford Fusion made a left turn from southbound Las Vegas Boulevard to enter the property at 7230 S. Las Vegas Boulevard. At the same time, Munoz, riding his Suzuki Hayabusa was traveling northbound on South Las Vegas Boulevard.The front of the motorcycle then struck the passenger side of the Ford. The force of the collision ejected the rider off the motorcycle and land on the east sidewalk.Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the rider dead at the scene. East Bay man accused of killer tech exec Bob Lee pleads not guilty to murder charge at arraignment (CNN) — The man accused of fatally stabbing the tech executive Bob Lee last month pleaded not guilty to murder in a San Francisco court Thursday.Nima Momeni will be held in custody without bail, the judge said.Lee, a 43-year-old who cofounded the mobile payment service provider Cash App, was stabbed to death in the Rincon Hill neighborhood in the predawn hours of April 4. Tamisha Colon of Wethersfield has never gone on a plane trip with her 10-year-old twin daughters, both of whom have autism. “We go on car trips. They can handle that,” she said.But next month, she wants to take the girls to Puerto Rico. So she brought them to Bradley International Airport on Tuesday to participate in Autism Flies. The program helps kids with autism become accustomed to airplanes and airports.“I know this will take a lot of patience. East Bay highway to close Friday night for construction work Drivers on State Route 4 in Brentwood will once again find both directions of the highway closed Friday and Saturday as Caltrans works on a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that will span over the road.This time, though, the closure will come earlier, at 9 p.m. Friday and extending until 6 a.m. Saturday as contractors pour concrete on the structure, according to officials.The overcrossing, located south of Lone Tree Way and north of Sand Creek Road, will connect the two sections of the Mokelumne Trail that were separated by the expansion of Highway 4 in the early 2000s.Bicyclists and pedestrians were promised a connection of the Mokelumne Trail in 2003 when the highway cut it off along with Marsh Creek and Delta de Anza trails. However, two of the three were connected, but not the Mokelumne Trail.By connecting the two sides of the Mokelumne Trail, the bridge will offer safe access for cyclists and pedestrians for commuting and recreational travel, according to officials.Weather permitt...
